A Review of Landslide by NJ Cole ~ by Heather

Landslide by NJ Cole

Review by Heather:

Following the success of her first release, Midnight Caller, the author once again takes us on a journey of where sexual preferences can unexpectedly lead us.  This story is sexually charged, at times kinkily and other times lovingly and then again sometimes they’re combined in ways that most of us probably only dream about.  When you throw in the dangers of political scandals and age differences, not to mention the girl in question being your best friend’s daughter, NJ has taken us on a trip that only she could tell.

Will the good Senator be able to move on after sampling his birthday gift? Or will he find himself craving more and more?

Leaning down, I kissed her lips softly. Our first kiss. It wasn’t driven by sexual
need; we had both been satiated enough. No, this kiss was more. It was a way of
expressing our thanks for giving each other what we needed. It was soft and sweet, long
and deep.
When we finally broke apart, I decided I was going to do something I had never
done with any of the girls in the past. I was planning to ask her if she would like to stay
the night. Before I could say anything, though, she spoke.
“Thank you, Senator Joseph,” she said, getting out of the bed. “I really hope that
you enjoyed your present.”

Will Mackenzie be able to put her childhood crush behind her after finally having a taste?  Or will she never get enough?

Before he could say a word, I left his room and slipped out the back of the house.
I had considered calling Mark, who’d asked me to go to a party with him, but in the end, I
didn’t.
I didn’t blame Senator Joseph, but I couldn’t handle the rejection again. Going
back to my original plan from the Fourth of July, I vowed that if he wanted me, he’d have
to be the one to initiate our next encounter.

There are so many amazing moments in this story, erotic, romantic, and dramatic.  I have to say one of my more favorable and memorable quotes from the book is from the inner monologue of Senator Joseph regarding a third party wrench trying to throw herself into the fine tuned contraption we call Love.

Everyone could see what was under her dress—with what little of it there was. It was
strapless, hot pink, and barely covered her ass. Honestly, it looked like a bottle of
Pepto Bismol threw up on a strip of material. Her breasts, which were clearly fake,
were pressed up and together, and I wasn’t sure how her nipples weren’t showing.

Rating:  5 out of 5 Honey Pots
